Something about my courses

During this period here in Vaasa I decided to take a lot of courses of MULTIMA (Multimedia Authoring System); now I want to tell you something more about that.
  • Introduction to Studing MULTIMA: it is a really brief course useful to know different staffs regarding the other courses and how use to webpage of the university's athenaeum;
  • Introduction to Multimedia and Hypertext: we learn the history of internet, multimedia and hypertext and others correlatives arguments, such GUI, www and hyperfiction;
  • Introduction to Electronic Publishing: it isn't started yet, but I know that we will be able to create a webpage;
  • Multimedia Tools: during this course we are supposed to become able to use some programs (like Photoshop, Flash Player,...), but...the teacher doesn't explain us properly how use that programs! He just give us some general instructions. It is really hard for me because I haven't acquaitance with this programs (that is the reason why I chose this course).

I chose also 2 language courses: Survival Finnish (useful to know what I buy at the supermarket but not enough to speak with the people, also becuase they have a spoken and a written language and we study just some sentences in the second one) and Survival Russian (I thing that will be really hard to learn...)

Something about the trip

Today I feel a little better and I'm happy because tommorow I will partecipate to an international cooking day organized by Lidia.
But let me tell something about the trip.
In Riga (Latvia) we were accommodated in the"Friendly Fun Franks Hostel": a really wonderful hostel with a good quality of services, where we met a lot of people from different countries.
Nevertheless I found Riga a joyless city with a strange idea about what a museum is...(try to believe).
Tallin (Esthonia) is, in my opinion, astoundingly beautiful!!! I like it a lot: the old city on the hill, the narrow streets, the ancients buildings with coluored frontals...
The hostel was a little bit less "friendly" that the one in Riga but, in any case, we enjoed our stay there.
About Helsinki...I don't know what think because we stay there just a day; that's why I hope to come back to Helsinki, perhaps in April...

The first month...

Hi all, it is already a month that i'm here in Vaasa as exchange student with the Erasmus Project...what happiness!
I'm taking 4 courses of MULTIMA (Multimedia Authoring System) at the University of Vaasa; one of this has a very interesting timetable: from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m on saturday!!!
Last friday the International Office organized a "Winter Day" in the afternoon so we could spend some riches hours on the snowed hills. For the first time in my live I tried the cross country sky: it was no so funny, but maybe because I tried just half an hour and...I felt down 5 times (very painful)! It was also possible to try the Nordic Walk: do you kwon what it is? Just walk where you want but with adequates walking-sticks! I didn't try it...it seems so "boring".

Barbara, from Italy, Teresa and Ignacio from Spain at our first experience with the cross coutry ski.

And I...
